Life-shavers

The Scottish Sun has a slide show of Mikey and other personalities shaving off their tasches following the Movember Men’s health campaign.  Was on P12-13 on Wed 2 Dec in the Scottish Sun, a before and after shot.

Mikey helps create Guinness world record!

Mikey and 151 men with moustaches created the world record for the most tasches in the one place on Saturday the 28th November at Partick Thistle FC in Glasgow for ‘Movember’ to raise awareness of men’s health.  The event was organised by the Scottish Sun newspaper and there was even a man dressed up as Super Mario.  There was great banter with all the tasches sitting in the football stand, and a Celtic fan wearing the hoops, got turned away as his tasch was not grown enough, and shouts of calm down calm down could be heard from a lookalike from the 3 scousers from Harry Enfield & Friends.  Pics will be posted shortly, but in meantime you can see Mikey in the crowd on P15 in the Scottish Sun, 30th Nov, link below.  It was lucky Mikey attended, as we just beat the record by one!

Mikey’s verdict: Labour, SNP and Tories having ago at each other policies, pretty much ignoring th equestions from the audience, was bascially just a party political spat, the Lib Dem candidate sounded out her depth and did not contribute much, but exactly the kind of party sparring, Mikey is glad not to get involved in, Mikey is the only truly independent voice in this byelection.

Glasgow North East: a vanity contest?

Circus of Vanity, Sunday Times.

The UK’s leading Sunday broadsheet concentrated on the 3 personalities in the election; Mikey, Tommy Sheridan and John Smeaton.  The article was an enjoyable read starting with the background to the poverty in Glasgow NorthEast, and mentioning how Mikey was nearly robbed of his charity box while canvassing.  It focused on the merging between politics and celebrity and showed a satirical mug shot of Mikey, Tommy and Smeato as circus performers.

NB: Mikey says he can’t wait until he goes to the Big Top that is the Houses of Parliament, he will certainly do a better job that than the clowns that have got us into this mess.
